Abstract:
Hippurates of V(III), Cr(III) and Fe(III) were isolated as solids with the general formula; {[}V(hip)(3)].15H(2)O, {[}Cr(hip)(3)].6H(2)O and {[}Fe(hip)(3)].1.5H(2)O. The compounds were characterized from elemental analysis, infrared spectra, H-1 NMR, electronic spectra and thermogravimetric analysis and proof that metal-ligand coordination involves only via the carboxylate group.
