Abstract:
This study investigates the axial tensile capacity of helical piles through field tests and numerical analysis using ADINA software. The research evaluates the behavior of helical piles in cohesive and cohesionless soils, identifying key factors such as embedment depth, soil strength, and number of helixes that influence uplift capacity. Results show that helical piles perform more effectively in dense sand compared to clay, with optimal configurations achieving significant load-bearing improvements. The findings provide practical guidelines for designing efficient helical pile foundations under tensile loads.
