Abstract:
People with Down syndrome suffer from many social, psychological and motor function problems. Current research examined the Effect of Dancing program for mentally retarded children's and its impact on skills development and adaptive behavior. Twenty five down syndrome children's (mean +/- SD age, 14 +/- 2.9 years), divided into (2) group (experimental group -15 children's) and (control group -10 children's), the experimental group performed the dancing program for (12) weeks. The tests was measured before and after the training program, The increased significantly for experimental group in co - ordination, balance and skillful performance level of dancing after the training program, and increased significantly for adaptive behavior.
