Abstract:
The presnt study was carried out on 147 apparently healthybuffalo-cows in Sharkia Govemorate. Those animals were obtainedfrom different localities, and randomly chosen. The common formsof reproductive disorders and affections in buffalo-cows are61(41.49%) anoestrous (inactive ovary), 30(20.41%) silent heatsand 56(38.09%) repeat breeders. These forms of infertility tend toaffect individual animals, but they are becoming more important asattention is paid to the environmental and health constraints. In this study, the case history of each animal was taken fromthe owners. The buffalo-cows were examined generally andspecially (rectally and vaginally) to determine the reproductivestatus of each animal (classified to anoestrum, silent heat and repeatbreeder groups). The buffalo-cows were classified into 4 groups, group-l(control group, No=20) received no treatment, group-2 (61 animalssuffering from anoestrous), group-3 (30 animals suffering fromsilent heat) and group-4 (56 animals suffering from repeat breeder). The buffalo-cows in group 1 (control group, No=20), notreatment, while those in group 2 were treated with Logul’s iodine,Minerals mixture, Sodium dibasic phosphate, Rafoxanide, AdevetAD3E, Tonophosphane and ovarian massage. Those in group-3were treated with Estroplan, Rafoxanide, AdevetAD3E andTonophosphan. Moreover, the buffalo-cows in group 4 weredivided into 2 subgroup, subgroup a (no=28), were treated withAmflux, Rafoxanide, AdevetAD3E and Tonophosphan.
