Diagnosis of avian influenza from chicken flocks in sharkia province

Avian influenza represents one of the greatest concerns forpublic health that has emerged in recent years.In this study the obtained results were as:1- Serum samples from 31 non- vaccinated chickens flocks indicated: 11 AI (H5N I) positive flocks by ELISA and HI, and these 11 flocks were retested by RT-PCR using 210 tracheal swabs which confirmed positive results. 2-Serum samples from 12 vaccinated ch2 weeks post vaccinationGMHI titer of the I” group was (2.9), 2nd group was (4.6), 3rd groupwas (3.6) ,4th group was (2.S) , the s” group was (4.3) and e” group was (6.09).3 weeks post vaccination GMHI titer of the l ” group was (zero), 2nd group was (4) , 3rd group was (8.1) ,4th group was (3.2) , the 5th group was (9.4) and 6th group was (8.4) .
