Abstract:
As a result, last century a great attention goes toward natural antioxidant agents to slow down the aging process. In this study , we used a total of 72 aged female Albino rats (10 months old), 200-250 gm weight classified into 4 groups:Group 1:18 rats as control group.Group 2: 18 rats were orally administrated 1ml of cinnamon suspension, daily, (0.5%) for 30 days. Group 3: 18 rats were orally administrated 1ml of curcumm suspension, daily, (0.5%) for 30 days. Group 4:18 rats were orally administrated lrnl of cardamom s1- Glutathione peroxidase (GPx) enzymeactivity homogenate. 2-Glutathione reductase (GR) enzyme activity homogenate.3- Superoxide dismutase (SOD) enzyme level in liver homogenate. -4 Malondialdehyde (MDA) level as lipid peroxidation in liver homogenate. 5- Study the gene expression of SOD in liver homogenate.
