Abstract:
Mycotoxins are extremely toxic chemicals that are producedby certain species of fungi and natural contamination of animalfeeds.One hundred, one day-old broilers and one hundred, oneday-old ducklings, were used in this study. The birds weredivided into four groups. Group (A, 1) fed on normal ration andserved as control group. Group (B,2) were given OA( 50/ppb) for42 days once daily. Group (C,3) were given OA( 50/ppb) for 42days once daily and treated with Ochrin, O.5cmll for 42 days. Thefourth group (D, 4) was only treated with Ochrin (O.5cmll) indrinking water for 42 days.Clinical signs and mortality rate were recorded in bothbroiler’s and duckling’s body weight gain. Feed consumption andfood conversion rate was checked for all groups at age 15,28 and42 days of activity.Five birds from each group were sacrificed at age 15,28 and42 days and blood samples were collected from all groups. Theblood serum for analysis of liver function test (AST, ALT) andKidney function test (serum creatinine and uric acid).
