Isolation and identification of geophilic dermatophytes from sharkia governorate

Twenty eight soil samples were collected from vanous sites (road soils 11, fertile soils 11 and farm soils 6) and was subjected for mycological examination to evaluate the presence of geophilic dermatophytes in Sharkia Governorate. By using modified hair-(87.5%) and 20 (83.33%) out of24 soil samples respectively. Eighteen isolates of Mgypseum obtained in this work were subjected for identification by macro and micro-morphological characters as well as using of differential media.
