Abstract:
Prevalence of Salmonella among broilers farms was investigated in this study which covers different provinces in Egypt through examination of 1200 various samples as paper lining box, internal organs of chicks. ISO 6579 was used for isolation and identifiThe result showed that percent of infection among imported baby chickens is 12.5% and in local baby chicks is about 65%.The result of serotyping of Salmonella was as follow:1-from imported chicks: Salmonella Enteriditis with percentage 37%2-from local baby chicks: Salmonella Typhimurium, S. Essen, S. Bradfored, and S. Logos 25%, 28.1%, 6.2% and 3.1% respectively. An experiment was designed to assess the ability of oral infection of SE to interfere with intestinal colonization of chicks. In the present study 20 broilers chicks (one day old) infected orally with 0.2 ml broth culture 1.8×108 CUF of SE and 10 chicks iFecal examination was eventually seen among infected birds after the chicks were orally infected with SE diarrhea, weakness, drooping wings, ruffeled feathers is appear after one week postinculationAt the end of the experiment (4 weeks) all infected chicks were post mortem examination .The incidence of SE reisolation were 70%,50%,100% in cecum, liver and litter respectively.Immuonhistochimical technique used for detection of Salmonella in the internal organ (liver and cecum)Immunological response to infected group were determined by evaluating antibody titers in serum by ELISA after 4 weeksAmplification of 488 bp fragment specific for the sefA gene of SE was recorded by PCR.The PCR is more sensitive and rapid for detection of Salmonella isolate also immuonhistochimical technique is sensitive but not replaced by culture technique.
