Abstract:
In this study we made Isolation and identification of S. aureusfrom baby chicks by taking 300specimens from 100 diseased chicksfrom different Egyptian govemorates, including (Dakahleia,Damietta, Kafr el-Sheikh and Gharbia), made isolation andidentification , sensitivity test and Per Jest to the coagulase positiveScaureus .By bacteriological examination of these specimens we foundthat a total of 139 out of 300 with percentage of 46.3% were foundpositive for Staph. species and 161 out of 300 with percentage of53.6% were negative for Staph. species and atotal of 26 specimens ofl39 with percentage 18.7% were found coagulase positive and 113specimens of l39 with percentage of 81.2% were found coagulasenegative. The isolated coagulase positive S.aureus of diseased chicksfrom different was from Liver, yolk sac, and heart with percentagesof 40.3 %,33.9%,25.8 %, respectively.Examination of 26 samples of coagulase positive S.aureusagainst 8 antimicrobial discs revealed different percentage ofsensitivity as it illustrated in Table (7) and. In regard to Oxacillin 21coagulase positive S.aureus was resistant (80.76%) while, 5 strainswere intermediate (19.23%). On the other hand 3 (1l.53%) of thestrains were resistant and 23 (88.46%) sensitive to vancomycin. 7(26.92%) of the strains were resistant while, 19 (73.07%) weresensitive to Gentamycin. But 1 (3.84%) and 25 (96.15%) of thestrains were resistant and sensitive to ciprofloxacin, respectively. Onthe other hands,15 (57.69%) of the strains were resistant, while, 2
