Abstract:
Salmonella is reported to be the most frequency diagnosed infectious cause of acute diarrhea. Mortality from acute salmonellosis in calves may be as high as 60 % Therefore, it ۥs necessary to introduce urgent measures for control of the spread of SalmonelThe bacteriological examination of 200 faecal samples obtained from diarrheic calves revealed that for Salmonella isolates could be recovered with an incidence 2 %.Serological identification of Salmonella spp. by using O and H antisera revealed that the most common Salmonella serovars was Salmonella Typhimurium followed by Salmonella Dublin and Salmonella Anatum with an incidence 1 %, 0.5% and 0.5 % respectively.
