Some Harmful Residues In Canned Fishes

Abstract:
A total of 75 random canned fish samples, 25 of each (canned Tuna, canned Sardine and canned Mackerel) during 2009, were collected from Zagazig markets for determination of Lead, Cadmium, Zinc, Cupper and Tin residues using Atomic Absorption Spectrophotom1-Dermination of heavy metal residues (ppm, wet weight in canned fish) as:a- Lead (Pb):The study revealed that concentration of Pb (ppm) in examined canned Tuna, Sardine and Mackerel was with mean value ±S.E of 0.127±0.02, 0.013±0.004 and 0.023±0.01 ppm respectively.
