A Study on the Use of Antibiotics in Vitro For Some Pathogenic Enteric Bacteria from Different Sources

Abstract:
Bacterial diseases have long been recognized as a major risk factor inpoultry health management. Every poultry farmer is aware of the risksof bacterial infections and their subsequent effect on mortalities,productivity and profitability. The present work could be summarizedin the following:-1- Enterobacteria were isolated from liver and spleen of chickens(broiler, one day old chicks and layers) with prevalence rate 83.05%.69.49% and 13.550/0 isolates were lactose fermenter and non-lactosefermenter respectively.2-Incidence of lactose fermenter among enterobacteria were 61.6%and 81.1 % in broiler and in both layers and one day old chicksrespectively, meanwhile Incidence of non lactose fermenter amongenterobacteria were 240/0 and 5.88% in both layers and one day oldchicks respectively,3-lactose fermenter isolates from human urine (female, male andchildren) represented 29.8%, 18/30 81.8% and 600/0 of total samplesrespectively, meanwhile non lactose fermenter isolates represented5.5%,13.33% and 0.0(0.0%) of total samples respectively,
