Abstract:
The present investigation was carried out on seventeen heads of balady goat . Ten heads were used for gross anatomical description ofcerebellum. The speci mens were fixed by injection of a mixture of 10%formalin, 1 % phenol ando.5% glycerine via the commoThe ten cerebella were used for taking the dimensions of Corpus cerebelli. Other five cerebella were used to study the histological structure of the cerebellum. Serial sections of five to six micrometer thickness were obtained and stained with different hThe remaining two cerebella were also examined after preservation and processing according to plastination technique. The obtained results were as follow:The cerebellum is an irregular globular in shape. It is formed of median part; Vermis cerebelli and two lateral parts ;Hemispherium cerebelli. Vermis cerebelli and the two Hemispherium cerebelli are separated by vallecu la cerebelli.•Vermis cerebelli is formed of Corpus cerebelli and Lobus flocculonodulus which are separated by Fissura uvulonodularis .•Corpus cerebelli is unpaired structure and situated rostrally to Fissurauvulonodularis. It is formed of two parts, Lobus rostralis and Lobuscaudalis which are separated from each other by Fissura prima.•Lobus rostralis is consisted of Lobuli medius and Lobuli lateralis. The median part of Lobus rostralis is subdivided into three lobules,Lingula, Lobulus centralis and Culmen. Lobuli lateralis of Lobus rostralis are the extension of Lingula, Lobulus centralis and Culmen in Hemispherium cerebelli. Vinculum lingulae are the
