Abstract:
This work was carried out for preparation and evaluation of bivalent inactivated lluminum hydroxide gel Foot and Mouth Disease Virus (FMDV) vaccine. The result obtained from this study can be summarized as followings:Preparation of bivalent inactivated aluminum hydroxide gel FMDV vaccinefrom two strains All/Egyptl2006 and 01/3/93. ~eed virus of the two strains was obtained by the 6th passage on BHK2J, clone., at which both infectivity and antigenicity of the virus reach to its highest level.Working virus was propagated in cell culture infection (BHK2I, clone.j) and could be harvested when 90% of the cells were infected. Complete generalization of theinfected cells was occur after 18- 21h post inoculation. The harvested virus was titrated and stored in -70°C until used. Complete inactivation of the harvested FMDV by BEl was occurred after J 5-16h post adding BEL 30%. aluminum hydroxide gel was the min2. Evaluation of the prepared bivalent inactivated aluminum hydroxide gel FMDVvaccine.
