Abstract:
Bacterial agents play an important role in the hatcheries production that it decrease the rate of hatchability and also affect the newly hatches chicks’ health and performance. This due to ignorance with hygienic and therapeutic measures.Regarding the importance of poultry production to our economy, this study was conducted toward this problem to isolate and identify the different bacterial causes of late embryonic mortalities of chicken and ducks as following:1- Nine hundred eggs contained dead embryos (350 of chicken, and 450 of duck) were collected from different farms in Sharkia Governorate.2- Fifty chicken eggs and 130 duck eggs were excluded due to contamination.3- Sensitivity tests were conducted for E. coli and Salmonella isoaltes to evaluate the antibiogram to most commonly usedand antimicrobial drugs for decreasing infection with these isolates.4- Fifty chicken eggs were collected for mycoplasma isolation. The results of bacterial isolation revealed that:from chicken embryos: 24% E. coli, 19.7% Salmonella, 19% Klebsiella, 14% Pseudomonas, 8.3%, Proteus, 7% Staphylococcus aureus and 3.7% Streptococcus faecalis were isolated.from duck embryos: 40% E. coli, 26.56% Salmonella, 33% Pseudomonas, 24.37% Klebsiella, 10%, Proteus, and 3.75% Staphylococcus aureus were isolated.Serological identification.
