Abstract:
The using of antibiotics for the chemotherapy of bacterial infections represents one of the most remarkable achievement of last century. Plant essential oils and extracts have been used, many thousands of years ago, in food preservation, pharmaceuticals, The studying the susceptibility and resistant of the bacterial isolates isolated from the patients using antibiotics such as (Amoxicillin-clavulanic acid, Ampicillin-sulbactam, Cefepime, Cefoperazone Cefotaxime, Cephradin, Ceftriaxone, Cefuroxime sodium, Also, the volatile oils susceptibility for such these isolates as (Garlic, Thymes, Cinnamon, Spearmint and Marjoram), the bacterial isolates were tested for their susceptibility to a mixed of antibiotics and volatile oils, and minimum inhibitory concentraThe results cleared that, the efficiency of combination between cinnmon oil and some antibiotics on the growth of selected bacteria. And thsir combination was higher than each one alone on the growth of selected bacteria.
