Abstract:
Summary:-A total of 180 samples (140 from internal organs of broilers and 40 from children urine) were collected from March 2008 to April 2009 and examined for presence of Escherichia coli. The isolates were confirmed biochemically and serologically.TheseThe obtained results were summarized as follows:1- Examination of 140 samples from internal organs of broilers collected from farms located n Sharkia Governorate. The result revealed that 85 isolates of Escherichia coli were isolated from 140 samples in percentage of 60.7%.These isolates were confirmedThe result of antimicrobial susceptibility of 85 isolates of Escherichia coli revealed that Escherichia coli were resistant to ciprofloxacin (62.4%), erythromycin (97.6%), flumequine (80%), streptomycin (61.2%), tetracycline (68.2%) and trimethoprime-sulh
