Characterization Of E .Coli 0111 And 026 Serotypes Recovered from Different Sources In Sharkia

A total of 400 samples (milk, cheese, meat and water were collected from different localities of Sharkia Governorate.The samples were examined for presence of Escherichia coli 026 and 0111 serogroups and the isolates were confirmed biochemically and serologically. The confirmed isolates were detected for antibiotic susceptibility and plasmid profiling of 026 and 0111 isThe obtained results were summarized as follows:1- Examination of 100 milk samples collected from cattle from different localities at Sharkia Governorate, searching for the presence of Escherichia coli 026 and 0111. The results revealed that (3) E. coli isolated 026 and (2) E. coli 0111 were isolated f2- Examination of 100 cheese samples, collected from Karish, Domty and Veta cheese from different localities at Sharkia Governorate. The results revealed that 46 samples of karish cheese contain (4) E. coli 026 and (6) E. coli 0111 in percentage of (10%)
