Abstract:
The present study was carried out on 1460 alive fishspecimens (760 Oniloticus, 400 Clarias gariepinus and 300Cyprinus carpio) collected from fish farms and River Nile duringdi fferent seasons all over the years. In addition, 120 marine fishrepresented as Sigan (30), Shaour (30), Kusher (30) and Karous (30).The results of study revealed:l-The main clinical signs on fish infested with monogeneasis wereslimy dark skin with several haernorrhagic spots scattard on thebody specially at the base of fins with deattached scales inOniloticus. Signs of restlessness manifested with rubbing theirbodies against the sides of the aquarium as well as signs ofasphexia manifested by gluping the atomspheric air, increasedbreathing frequency, streached gill covers with pale or congestedsticky gills filaments and covered with thick muocus .2- The identification and classification of monogenetic trematodesrecovered from freshwater and marine investigated fishes.Monogenetic trematodes recovered from gills of Onifoticus :Cichlidogyrus Egypticus, Cichlidogyrus tilapae, Cichlidogyruslongicornis, Cichlidogyrus tubicerus mugnus and Cichlidogyrusyanni.
