Some Heavy Metal Residues In Poultry Carcasses

Abstract:
A total of Ninety random samples of muscle, liver and Gizzard of broilers chicken, Baladi breeds and aged laying hens from different markets in Sharkia Governorate. The samples were collected in polyethylene bags, all of which were kept in ice box and tra1- Lead (Pb):The results recorded in Table 1 revealed that the mean values ± SE of lead (ppm) in liver, gizzard and muscle of broiler were 0.290 ± 0.108, 0.223 ± 0.073 and 0.260 ± 0.049 ppm, respectively, while in Baladi breeds were 0.563 ± 0.071, 0.551 ± 0.102 and 0.It is cleared that 32 of analyzed samples (32%) are over permissible limits of lead levels.2- Cadmium (Cd):The obtained results in Tab. 2 showed that the residual concentration level of Cd (ppm) in liver, gizzard and muscle of broiler was in range of 0.005 to 0.03, 0.01 to 0.047 and 0.007 to 0.037 with a mean value ± SE of 0.021 ± 0.004, 0.023 ±
