Abstract:
Summary:-Two hundred chickens of Hubbard breed was from one day to 45 days old with previous history of respiratory manifestation were collected from different localities of Sharkia province.Out of 200 chickens dead and diseased, 104 cases were positive to Aspergillus isolation, while 19 case positive to Rhizopus and 15 positive to Mucor.The total number of isolated Aspergillus species was 104 isolates with 75.4%, they were A. fumigatus, A. flavus, A. niger with ratio 36, 43 and 25 respectively.Identification of isolates was carried out by conventional methods using the gross appearance of culture characteristic onto SDA, microscopical examination by examining the shape of spore and hyphae and found that Aspergillus gross lesions are most commonIn vitro studies by using antifungal drugs which include amphotericin B, fluconazole, itraconazole, ketoconazole and nystatin.This study revealed the effective drug (ketoconazole) as the first drug followed by amphotericin B then itraconazole for Aspergillus infection while in case of Rhizopus and Mucor amphotericin B was the drug of choice then ketoconazole and for Rhizopus onl
