WSSV is a viral infection of penaeid shrimp. The disease is highlylethal and contagious, killing shrimps quickly. Outbreaks of this disease havewiped out within a few days the entire populations shrimp farms.The presence or absence of the virus in Egyptian coast was the aim ofthis study.
