Abstract:
This study was conducted to study the occurrence of some zoonotic bacteria such as Staphylococcus aureus, E. coli and Salmonella spp. Also to clarify the role of human food of animalorigin including beef sausage, minced meat, kariesh cheese, raw milk and poultry eggs in transmitting such bacteria to man, the following points were investigated: I-Occurrence of Staphylococcus aureus, E. coli and Salmonella spp. in human cases. II - Occrepresenting 150 stool samples (50 diarrhoeic cases and 100apparently healthy persons) and 150 hand swabs (50 milk handlers, 50 meat handlers and 50 employees (non contact). Staphylococcus aureus, E. coli and Salmonella were found to be positive in 13, 137 and 3 stool samples, respectively out of the total examin
