Some studies on eel swim bladder nematodes

A total of 200 eels (Anguilla anguilla) were collected from fish farms in Manzala lake and EL-hussenia in Sharkia province. The eels were examined for presesnce of Anguillicola crassus in swimbladder and study of their morphology by using light and scanniThe indirect immunofluorescent antibody test was performed successfully as the antigen binding with antibody in infected tissue. For this we can apply this test for diagnosis of infection in large scales specially in culturing eels farms.
