Abstract:
The Zoonotic nature of Arcobacteriosis has attracted the attention of researchers over last years. In recent years, the frequency of isolation of Arcobacter organisms from chicken carcasses and human with enteritis denoted that Arcobacter species may be eOur present investigation is aimed to the isolation of Arcobacter species from poultry and children by microfilter technique. Identification of the isolated Arcobacter species. Antibiotic sensitivity test of different types of antimicrobials against ArcobA total of 150 samples including poultry, human and environment were collected and submitted to bacteriologically examined.The presence of Arcobacter species in male 20 (66.67%) was higher than female 16 (33.33%).Regarding the examined 24 environmental samples 13 (54.17%) were positive. The incidence of wastewater 14 (76.92%) was higher than feather 10 (23.08%).By identification of the isolated Arcobacter species 28 (48.27%) isolates were A. cryaerophilus, 16 (27.58%) were A. butzleri, 12 (20.69%) were A. skirrowii and 2 (3.44%) were non identifiable.The higher frequency of Arcobacter cryaerophilus in poultry samples than other species.
