Studies on Vitamin Content in Milk and Some Milk Products

Abstract:
Milk is a very rich food with high nutritional value. It contains lots of excellent nutrients, some of which are so rare that cannot be found anywhere else in nature. So, it is not by chance that milkconsists the newborn’s first and unique food. The main objective of this work was to measure the role of season on vitamin A, D, E and K composition in cows and buffaloes. For this purpose, one hundred milliliters was collected from 80 milk samples, at Isstudy by chromatographic separation, which was run isocratically, keeping the volumetric flow the same throughout the run using HPLCon the analytical column. Our results indicated that, the vitamin A content in row cow and buffaloes milk in summer and winter were 53.0, 51.4, 57.54 and55.54 1lg/100 ml, respectively.
