Abstract:
This work was carried out to study the incidence of the zoophilic dermtophytes in man and animals as well as study of their characters through differentiation on the diagnostic media, the enzymatic activity and the antimycotic sensitivity test.500 human samples (skin scrapings, hair and nails) were collected from patients of Leprosy and dermatology hospital in Mansoura, out patient clinic of venerology and dermatology of Mansoura university hospital and Mansoura general hospital, as well as 200Tinea capitis (Scalp affection) was found to be the most prevalent form of human dermatophytosis (62.4%) followed by tinea corporis (ringworm of body) (31.8%), tinea cruris (infection of the groin) (4.2%), tinea pedis (feet affection) (1%) and onychomycos
