Abstract:
Laparoscopy was done in the standing and trendelenburgpositions under local infiltration anesthesia using Debocaine 2%. Astab incision was made at the area of interest midpoint of ventralabdomen between umbilicus and xiphoid cartilage for introductionof veress needle for insufflation of Co2, Air or Nitrous Oxide.Pneumoperitoneum was established by flow rate 1 L/min and 10-15mmHg through connection of gas hose to the needle. One cm skinincision was made 3-5 cm beside the site of Veress needle that theskin and subcutaneous tissue were incised to facilitate theintroduction of the trocar carefully with minimal force. Then thetelescopes with light cable were connected to the cannula. The study was carried out on nine balady goats of both sex andclassified into three groups, each of 3 animals to compare betweenthe influence of three different insufflating gases namely carbondioxide (C02), nitrous oxide (N20)
