Some studies on unthrift ness in cross breed cattle

Abstract:
This study was conducted to obtain more information about unthriftiness of crossbreed cattle under Egyptian enviromental conditions.Atotal number of animals 125 crossbreed cows from 3 rd generation (Native X Friesian) were selected from EL-Salam Private Farm behindThe Faculty of Air Force in Belbeis City, the age of animals ranged fron 3-8 years, from pregnant at 6 monthes and lactated after parturation.After clinical examination of animals, fecal samples obtained from all animals for parasitological examination.Blood and serum samples were taken from all animals for hematological and biochemical analysis.Also, skin scraping were taken from all animals for detection of presence or absence of exteranal parasites. Samples of hair, drinking water and rations were taken for analysis of some trace elements.After all these examination, the examined crossbreed cows are classified according to their physiological and pathological conditions into the following groups :-Group I : Included 20 cows proved to be clinically healthy and parasitic free, served as control and divided into 10 lactating cows and 10 pregnant cows.
