Abstract:
Antioxidative defenses system in cells and tissues against FR includes the antioxidant nutrients and metalloenzymes such as GSH-px, CAT, SOD and CP. The most important lipid phaseantioxidant is property VB. This study was planned to investigate the relationship between VB administration and lipid peroxidation and antioxidant status of rats.Sixty male albino rats (180-200) gm were used in this study. The animals were produced from Central Animal House of Veterinary Medicine Zagazig University. They were housed Instainless steel cages in the biochemistry department under hygieniccondition. The animals had free access to food and water through the study. Food was discontinued, but water still available twelve hours before sacrifice. Two weeks post adaptation in the departmental, the animals were segregated into two groups 30animals each.Group I (control group): The animals were given 0.5 ml corn oil daily for 45 days.Group 11 (VB group): The anirnals were taken VE at a dose level100 mg / kg B.W. dissolved in 0.5 ml corn oil daily for 45days.
