Abstract:
Three hundred and fifty chickens of Hubbard breed their ages was 45 days. Two hundred cases were suspected to have candidiosis by clinical signs. Sixty four strains of yeasts were isolated with an incidence 32%.One hundred and fifty healthy chickens were subjected to mycological examination. Thirty six strains of yeasts were isolated with an incidence 24%.The birds were subjected to mycological examination and isolates were further identified by conventional confirmatory tests. One hundred and twenty Hubbard chicks aged one day old, they were apparently normal and proved to be free from candidiosis were usThe obtained results could be summarized as follow:1- Isolation of yeasts from apparently normal chickens: out of 150 chickens, 36 yeast strains were isolated further identification of the isolated yeasts. The yeast revealed 36 strains, which were found to be Candida species.
