Abstract:
A great attention was paid towards the use of probiotics as food supplement not only for supporting the growth of normal intestinal microflora but due to the beneficial effect of it on the feed conversion ratio. So that this study was planed as a trial to2) Determination of phagocytic activity of chicks fed on feed supplemented with probiotics and make comparison betweentreated and non treated control chicks.3) Performing the challenge test by using E. coli 078:KSO forexperimental infection of both treated and untreated controlgroups of chicks. The obtained results proved that: There was a statistical significant differences in phagocyticpercentage and phagocytic index between treated and untreated chickswith probiotics. An increasing in phagocytic percentage of group 2 more than that of other groups which treated with E. faecium for 5 days on the
