Abstract:
Skin affections in broilers are important factors which cause high rate of economic losses due to condemnation of the carcasses at slaughter. There are some important skin affections which effect seriously on industry of poultry such as fowl pox disease, (bumble foot), fowl mites, Favus, xanthomatosis and cannibalism.Between January 2005 to November 2007 from different flocks, breeds, ages, sexes and localities in Sharkia Govemorate, Specimens from skin lesions were randomly collected which are mainly of non-feathered parts of the body as comb, wattles, inner surface of thewings, vent area and legs. The chickens were subjected to clinicalsigns and pathological examination. Embryonated chicken eggs were4- Forty samples of neck and around cloacae skin were taken after spraying of the chicken carcasses with 2% lactic acid for 30 sec. by nearly sterile hard-hold non corrosive plastic sprayer according to Castillo et al.(1999).5- Forty samples of neck and around cloacae skin were taken after spraying of the chicken carcasses with 12% TSP for 30
