Advanced Studies On Urinary Disorders Treated By Surgical Approaches in Some Ruminants

Abstract:
The urinary system disorders represent a large problem inruminants .These animals are directly affected with these affections,also their following biological changes and uremia may leadeventually to the death of the animal. This work was planned as atrial to solve these problems. The study implies in its clinical part inwhich the affected cases which were admitted to the clinic of theveterinary faculty of Zagazig University (2000-2007), governmentalfarms, farmers’ farms, veterinary clinics and solitary cases. Thestudy comprised (1621)animals (535 buffalo calves,498 cattle calves,270 sheep, and318 goats).Their ages range from two days to oneand half years. The results included and revealed the following:-I-The survey for urinary disorders:-Many disorders were recorded as following:-A-Congenital affections:(l)Patent urachus was 5.26%(0.12% of all affections),and recordedin one cattle calf and one buffalo calf.(2)Hypospadia was 28.95%(0.69% of all affections),andrecorded largely in goats.(3)Urethral dilatation was 65.790/0(1.56% of all affections). Inmale goats and cattle appeared as a swelling along the urethra,proximally in cattle and distally in goats. On exploration thecontent was urine and after its opening, it was lined by mucousmembrane.B-Acguired affections:(l)Urethral obstruction without urinary bladder rupture constitutesthe larger percentage 72.350/0(70.64% of all affections).Theaffection was less in small ruminants than in large ruminants,c1inicobiochemical studies. Tissue specimen from liver, kidneys and intestinefrom all gps. were examined macroscopically and microscopically.Chicks of all treated gps. showed greenish diarrhea at 32 days oldpersisted 6 days in gp. (2), 7 days in gp. (3) and along the experimental periodin gps. (4 and 5).The erythrogram showed macrocytic normochromic anemia in all gps.(with the appearance of greenish diarrhea) at 32 days old and the decrease inRBCs, Hb and PCV were ’obvious in gps. (2 and 3) than other gps. Thehemolytic anemia persisted in gps. (2 and 3) till the day 39 then disappeared butin gps. (4 and 5) till the end of the experiment leading to hyperbiliverdenemia,biliverdinurig and greenish diarrhea. The blood films showed poikilocytosis andanisocytosis in gps. (4 and 5).
