Abstract:
Avian Mycoplamosis constitutes a major economic problem. M.gallisepticum is considered the most important Mycoplasma pathogen affecting commercial poultry flocks, contributing in infection designated as chronic respiratory disease of chicken, therefore, accurate and rapid diagnosis is essential for controlling thIn this study, 200 chicken samples have been chosen fromdifferent age & sex and they were 67 sample from lung, 67 samplefrom air sac and 66 sample from tracheaThe percentage of isolation mycoplasma was 25% (50 out 200), 200 ), with isolation rate for lung ] 9.40/0 ( 13 out of 67 ), Trachea 22.70/0 ( 15 out of 66 ) and 32.8% ( 22 out of 67 ) from air sac.The percentage of isolation of M. gallisepticum was 23.50/0 (47out of 200 sample), by the percentage of 6.50/0 for lung (13 out of200), 60/0 for trachea (12 out of 200) and 11 % for air sac (22 out of200).Also, biochemical and serological differentiation has been donefor the isolated Mycoplasma and 23.5% of the isolates were M gallisepticum (47 out of 200).1 % were M. gallinarum (2 out of 200) and 0.5% were M. iners (one out of200).Tow hundred serum samples collected from naturally infected eh icken tested by SPA for the presence of antibodies against M gallisepticum and the result was: Pos. samples 55% (110 out of200),and Neg. samples 450/0 (90 out of 200).
