Abstract:
Rabbits are considered to be one of the significant sources forestablishing food security all over the world. Agreat attension was payedtowerds rabbit industry to meet the great demands for meat consumptionparticularly in developing countries. Rabbit pasteurellosis is considered oneof the most dangerous diseases which affect rabbits allover the world. This study was planned to spotlights on :Isolation and identification of Past. microorganisms, serologicaldiagnosis, analysis of Past. multocida isolates by using of RAPD markers. To establish this goal the following points were undertaken:•A total of 388 samples of nasal swabs were collected from apparently healthy [157] and diseased rabbits [231] from different farms scattered at different localities in Sharkia Governorate .•The identification of Past. microorganisms were done according tomorphological, biochemical and fermentative reactions.•All isolates of Past. multocida were tested for their pathogenicity tormce .•All isolates of Past. multocida were subjected to serotyping by usingrapid plate agglutination test.•The genetic variability among fourteen Past. multocida isolates wasstudied using RAPD analysis.•Computer analysis for RAPD data was done.
