Abstract:
A total of one hundred samples of fresh shellfish ,25 each of shrimp,crab, oyster and mussel ,collected from different retail markets of North Sini Governorate were examined physically, and bacteriologically. The mean value of total bacterial count (mesop104 ± 2.7 x 104 ,2.6 X 105 ±1.2 X 105 ,1.1 X 105 ± 3 x 104 and 1.8 x 105 ±1.9 X 104 CFU/gflesh ,respectively .Concerning to the average of thebr>Enterobacteriaceae counts were 1.4 x 104 ± 4.9 x 103 ,6.7 x 104 ± 1.9 x shrimp, crab ,oyster and mussel, respe
