Abstract:
The present work was planned to study the influence of milk yield , age , type of last birth , parity and BCS on the postpartum reproductive performance of buffaloes. In addition to evaluate the reproduction parameters including postpartum first ovulationThese animals were classified after calving according to the results of conception in to the following groups :GI: Conceived group (n= 39) : consists of animals with normal estrus cycle and were mated within 90 days p.p. and taken as untreated control.GII: Non conceived group (n= 17) consists of animals with normal ovulatory and non ovulatory estrus cycles and did not conceived within 90 days p.p. 20 animals from GI (14) and GII (6) suffered from silent heat were treated by double injection of 25 mg PGGIII: Smooth inactive ovaries group ( n=32). These animals were examined rectally 2 times 10 days apart and continued anestrus after 90 days p.p. these animals were treated by intra uterine infusion with 50-100 ml lugol’s iodine (0.5%) two times at 10 day
