Abstract:
Nickel is an element if found in high level in the environment it constitutes a potential hazard to the environmental media (air, water, soil). This due to its extensive and wide spread utilization in various industries. It is a common by-product of electThis work was planned to investigate the toxic effect of nickel chloride on health status of widely cultured fresh water fish Tilapia species. The results of this investigation could be summarized as following:• This experiment used 120 tilapia fish divided into 3 groups the first group exposed to 1/5 Lc50 (7.2 mg/L)of nickel chloride for one week, the second group exposed to 1/10 Lc50 (3.6 mg/L)of nickel chloride for 8 weeks, respectively. The third group left• Noticed in the clinical examination respiratory, disorder, abnormal swimming behavior, rapid opercular movements and skin lesion, white discoloration on skin.• Our result reaveld that the body weight decrease non significant in tilapia fish. Exposed to 1/5 Lc50of nickel chloride for one week but observed decrease significant in
