Abstract:
Escherichia coli (E.coli) affect poultry industry causing serious economic losses achieved by high morbidity and mortality, loss body weight and low egg production. The control of this microbe is an important for poultry farms and depends primarily on theSpiramycin is an antibiotic macrolide, which used in treatment of G+ve and G-ve bacteria.The present work was conducted to evaluate the antibacterial effect of spiramycin in healthy and experimentally infected chickens. The sensitivity of isolated E.coli strains of avian origin is investigated in vitro to different antimicrobial agents. The eMoreover, the effects of therapeutic dose of this drug on haematological picture as well as liver and kidney functions, some electrolytes and histopathological studies were studied..
