Some in vitro and in vivo experiments were carried out to evaluate its efficacy against E. coli, S. typhimurium . St .aureus and A. flavus. In vitro studies of purified, Ethanolic (EEP) and aqueous (APE) extracts of propolis revealed that, purifwhile 100 & 200 mg were needed for inhibition of ( E. coli ” S.typhimurium. Staph .aureus and A. flavus. APE showed no inhibitory effectexcept against S. typhimurium .Different propolis preparations were investigated against both E. coli andflavus In vivo . The results revealed that a dose of 100 mg / kg BWreduced the clinical signs, mortality rate and PM lesions as well as A. flavus shedding. The best results were recorded in the birds supplemented withpropolis in ration which revealed reduction of clinical signs to 20 % incomparison to non treated of 80 % . Moreover No fungal reisolation wasrecorded post treatment .Administration via DW and IM showed less protection. However, therewas an improvement in body weight gain in all treated groups in comparisonI ( with infected non treated.Intra tracheal application of 108CFU / 0.1 ml E . coli was the route ofchoice and IM injection of propolis had suitable for treatment application in
