Abstract:
Today aquaculture is considered an important source of protein for meeting the world’s increasing demand for protein. Fish is an important source of animal protein for human consumption as it isn’t only easily digestible but also rich in essential amino aFurther development of fish culture requires more knowledge about nutrition and feed additives which increase yields with minimum costs and without harmful effects. The present study was carried out in two experiments at Fish Research Center, Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Zagazig University and also at Nutrition and Clinical nutrition Department, Zagazig University, to investigate the :-1- Effects of different levels of alternative growth promoters as REE in the diets on growth performance, body composition, feed efficiency and nutrient digestibility of Tilapia Nilotica fingerlings.2- Comparison between the effects of alternative growth promoters as REE and some traditional growth promoters as Bactocell “probiotics” and oxytetracycline “antibiotics” on growth performance, body composition, feed efficiency and nutrient digestibility
