Abstract:
Vitamins are defined as organic substances present in minute amountsin natural feed stuffs which are essential for normal metabolism.Vitamin A is one of the important fat soluhle vitamins .vitamin C is thefirst line of defense in the water soluble phase. Vitamin E has animmunostimulatory effect in variety of animal species when administeredin quantities exceeding dietary requirements. The present study was advised to inquire into the immunostimulatoryeffect of oral administration of vitamins A, ,C, E and Beta-carotene onrabbits. Twenty five mature white New Zealand rabbits were divided into fiveequal groups each of five.The first group: administered vitamin A orally by a dose : 10000I.U/Kg/day for 60 days. The second group: administered vitamin E orally by a dose : 1000I.U/Kg/day for 60 days. The third group: administered vitamin C orally by a dose; 100 mgIKg/day for 60 days.
