Abstract:
Infectious bursal disease is one of the most important viral diseases affecting chickens. In the present study, a new approach was used to help in controlling this disease. The inovo-vaccination technique was applied on native embryonated chicks as newvaccination programe. Ninety embryonated egg, ] 8 day old, were vaccinated by intermediate strain of IBDV vaccine. Sera samples were collected from the eighty hatched chicks every week. The experiment lasted for 5 weeks. The sera were tested serologicallyantibodies immune response, where antibodies were elevated at firstweek until 3rd week and started to decrease at the 4th week.Also, HI was performed to evaluate the immunosuppressive. effect of the IBDV inovo-vaccine on ND vaccine. The results showedthat IBDV inovo-vaccine had no immunosuppressive effect on NDvaccine 1111lTIUne response.In conclusion, this study showed that the IBDV inovo-vaccine asa new effective substitute vaccine programe in protection the chicks inearly age of life without an adverse effect on the other vaccineprograme.
