Abstract:
The present study was conducted to survey 328 randomlycollected poultry and duck feed samples and ingredients fromdifferent poultry and duck farms in two governorates(Kalyoubia and Menoufiya) in a trial to estimate the incidenceand prevalence of mycotoxins in poultry and duck feeds and toinvestigate the clinicopathological effect of graded doses ofaflatoxin B 1 equivalent on two breeds of ducks (Baldy andBaijin).• Experiment No. 1:The experiment was conducted to study the prevalence andincidence of mycotoxins in different poultry and duck feedsand ingredients. It was found that only 3.66% of the monitoredsamples contained aflatoxins. The af’l atox ins level rangedbetween 5 - 220 u.g/kg feed, only 0.92% of monitored samplescontained ochratoxin A. The ochratoxin A level rangedbetween 10 - 30 J.1g/kg feed and only 0.61 % of monitoredsamples contained zerealenone. The zerealenone level rangedbetween 30 - 40 ug/kg feed.
