Abstract:
The role of Adeno-virus as an etiologic agent of bovine respiratoryand enteric diseases has much attention in recent years, and the Adeno-virusare responsible for producing great losses to the livestock industry in many ways.In the present study aiming to prepare and evaluate inactivatedmonovalent freeze dried Adeno-virus vaccine for control the spread of thisviral agent in Egypt, and to assist in saving animal industry in Egypt.The susceptibility of different cell cultures (BK MDBK, VERO,CER) for cultivation of Adeno-virus was studied to choose the best cells forvaccine production. MDBK was the culture of choice as it produces hightitre and was in preparation.Binary ethyleneimine was used for the inactivation of Adeno-virus,different concentration of Binary ethyleneimine at different times were made to detect the suitable concentration of BEL at a proper time for completeinactivation of Adeno-virus.
