Abstract:
Parasitological examination of 493 faecal samples collected from adult native breed sheep from different localities at Dakahlia province during the period from October 1998- October 1999 revealed fasciola eggs in 24 samples with an infestation rate 4.87%.(3.130/0) respectively. Also parasitological examination of 985 stool samples were collected from patients were attending to various tropical medical clinics at Dakahlia province. The examined patientswere complaining abdominal discomfort revealed fasciola eggs in 9 samples with an infestation rate 0.580/0.Studying the incidence of fascioliasis In humans in different localities revealed 2.34,0,0,0 in Mansoura , Dekemess, Minyat-El-Nasr, respectivelyThe results indicated that fasciol iasis affects on minerals and trace elements in sera, milk and wool of infested sheep (lactating ewes and non lactating sheep) demonstrated thatlevels of calcium, inorganic Phosphorus, magnesium, zinc,copper and iron were significantly decreased.Studying the effect of triclabendazole on the minerals and trace elements 15-45 days post treatment for determination the levels of calcium, inorganic phosphorus, magnesium, zinc,copper and iron revealed that serum calcium, inorganic.
