Some Studies on Water Balance, Kidney and Liver Functions in Healthy and Diseased Camels

Abstract:
The present study was made to recognize the importance of blood picture, renal and liver function tests in adult clinically normal camels , as well as some diseased conditions including hydatidosis, respiratory affection, mange infestation and gastro - inThere is significant increase in haematological (PCV, H,RBCs and WBCs) and biochemical parameters (serum glucose, T. protein, albumin, globulin, bilirubin; cholesterol, AST, ALT and SAP) and flactuation in temperature and haematocrit values of dehydrated The mean loss of body weight during dehydration for 1 month in winter was 15.76% . And the amount of water required for mentianance during period of dehydration for one mounth was 27,541iter (14.9% from its body weight)About the water content in feces of camels was 54% on green ration and 52.2:;0 on dry ration, then decrease to 32.5% and 26.5% at 17, 30 days of dehydration to reach to 33.3% after rehyderation and the camels was the lowest water content among other anima
