Abstract:
Hibiscus sabdariffa is a plant used as source of Vitamin C, diuretic, mildlaxative, intestinal antiseptic, reduce blood pressure, stimulate intestinalperistalsis and seeds used as aphrodisiac. It helps digestion and antiscarbotic.Onion is a plant used as bacteriostatic in gastrointestimal infection, stomachic,diuretic, expectorant, hypocholesterolcmic and hypoglycemicAtenolol is selective Beta Blockers, used as hypotensive and anti- ischemic.Twenty (20) male adult rabbits were used in our experimental work, Rabbitswere divided into four groups each group 5 rabbits.The first group was taken 520 mg/kg Bw of aqueous extract of hibiscussabdariffa daily intragastric by stomach tube.The second group was taken 2.3 gm/kg Bw of fresh onion daily intragastric bystomach tube.The third group was taken 4.7 mg/kg Bw of Atenolol daily intragastric bystomach tube.The fourth group was represented the control group.The serum was taken from each group on 1, 2 and 3 weeks. The serum wascollected to study biochemical changes (Liver and Kidney Function).The first group (Hibiscus group) the c1inicobiochemical analysis showedsignificant increase in AST, ALT and total protein at 1 st week while it return toits normal level at 21llJ week, while the AP and bilirubin showed insignificantchanges, but showed significant decreased in glucose in 2nd and 3rd week after
